The world mourns the passing of a football legend. The sad news was confirmed at 12:55 GMT on Friday in a statement from the Cromwell Hospital in United Kingdom.
Arguably he was the most gifted British footballer of all time. He was charismatic on and off the field. He belonged to the generation of the 60s that was free-spirited and rebellious experimenting with drugs and alchohol. Tragically his over dependence on alchohol has taken a heavy toll on his life which eventually brought about this very sad end. He was a football genius. Fans of Manchester United and the football fraternity, will always remember him for his silky football skills and the magic and sheer joy of George Best, truly the BEST.
