One of the main ingredients of success is to keep an open mind that can receive valuable input from other people. This requires humility of character which makes a person rise above his ego.
The ability to respect and explore the other person's view point leads the way to success in a shorter period of time.
When Walt Disney was creating his Magic Kingdom, he had a unique way of requesting input from his staff.
He'd designate an entire wall to display all different stages of a project, and everyone in his organization was invited to post answers to the question " How can we improve this?"
Thus Disney gained access to the combined resources of a creative team, thus producing results commensurate the quality of the input received.
