Money: Why most people don't get rich

Millions of people apparently worship money. Many dream about having millions of dollars and fantasize about the things they would do with it. It is probably safe to say that money is a preoccupation to them.

So why do most people not get rich in terms of having more money? The primary reason is despite their longing, money is not worth what it would take to get it. This is a profound statement perhaps likely to be fiercely debated. Before we reach that level, let us ask: What really is money?

Money is described as a medium of exchange for goods, services and the necessities of life. Is this a fair definition? To address this question we need to understand what money means to us. And for this, each one of us should determine the purpose of money in our life.

To some, it may mean a mortgage-free home. For others it is necessary for economic reasons, social life or spiritual matters. History has shown us that people who statred with little or no money have reached the top. For such people, money is very important, perhaps the highest priority in their life is to accumulate money.
