The value of a person depends very much on what he makes of himself. The value of a person, is to a great extent measured by the composition of his character, skills and experience.
The value of a thing varies with its making. Take a pile of clay. Its value could be a few dollars. Make a pot out of the clay and its value may increase to fifteen dollars. Make it into a dining set and its value will increase to a hundred dollars.
What is true of clay is also true for human beings. Your value hinges on what you make of yourself.
Genetic makeup and inherited potential aside, what we do with our lives does make a big difference to what life can do for us.
A person's value is not by virtue his birth or race. A person's value is equal to the sum total of his experience, character, skills and wisdom.
